Version: 3.5.3 (using KDE KDE 3.5.4) Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages OS: Linux Hello, It would be nice if korganizer had the ability to display "n" weeks beginning with the current week. The appearance would be the same as in Month view, with one week per row, except that the number of rows would be "n", the first row is the current week, and the calendar can display more than one month at a time. The sunbird project calls this "multiweek view". A screenshot of this is at: http://www.mozilla.org/projects/calendar/images/sunbird-multiweek-view.png The screenshot isn't very good because it doesn't show that multiple months can be viewed at once. Thanks for the nice program! P.S. I swear multiweek view used to be possible in korganizer!
Cool. I don't think KOrganizer ever had this capability. Maybe for KDE 4. No promises, but it does look neat.
I have the feeling that this wish is the same as wish 81689, because the result would be the same. Do you agree?
Hmm, It might be that this bug is a subset of wish 81689, but it depends on how wish 81689 is implemented: The overall feeling for bug 81689 is that people want to be able to put their mouse over the month view, then turn their mouse scrollbar and have the weeks scroll up or down, one week at a time with each "degree" of scroll wheel turn. Alternatively, without a scrollbar wheel one could click up and down arrow keys on the side of the calendar to move the weeks. The flavor of this bug is that the first week of each "month" should be the current week, and the number of weeks after the current week is configurable to "n". E.g. n=4 would should this week and three more weeks, even if they are in a different month. This makes it easier to see and plan for upcoming events in the next month without pushing the "next month" button in the minicalendar. So in the end I guess I think these two bugs are different because they each could be implemented without closing the other. Here is an example of when an "n-week view" would be useful: On December 31st 2006 one can only see the first week in January. There could be something "due" in the 2nd week of January which should be started 2 weeks ahead of time. If the user wouldn't see it unless they occasionally (flip the calendar page) look at January. Then when it is January 1st, 2007 there is a whole new month displayed and the user sees "OMG! I should have started that a week ago!" Bug 81689 would help address this "problem" by allowing easier scrolling of the weeks, but I think a the multiweek view is a nicer solution to this particular scenario because the user always sees 4 weeks ahead of the current one rather than actively having to scroll. (Okay, lazy it is!)
Reassigning all KOrganizer bug reports and wishes to the newly created korganizer-devel mailing list.
this still does not exist, correct? Would be awesome to have
