Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.2) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages I'd like to be able to indent/unindent code on the fine grain (i.e. by 1 space instead of tab) with the ALT+left/right keys. I got to know this key combination in the MED programmer's editor (www.utopia-planitia.de), and it is easy to get addicted to it. It is very convenient and intuitive. Currently ALT+left/right is assigned to the next/previous document shortcut. That could be changed to Ctrl+Tab and Shift+Ctrl+Tab, which is also intuitive because rhymes with ALT+Tab for application switching.
ctrl[+shift]+tab is already Switch Desktop.

But seriously, I'm sure what you meant is that these should be configurable shortcuts so that users can assign whatever keystrokes they like to them. :-)
This should be implemented as a script, see: http://docs.kde.org/development/en/kdesdk/kate/advanced-editing-tools-scripting.html (binding actions works in KDE >= 4.6, the documentation will be updated soon to reflect this!)
Please provide a script, if you want this feature ;)
