Description Glenn 2006-09-14 01:45:11 UTC
Version: 1.9.1 (using KDE KDE 3.5.2)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
Compiler: gcc 4.1.1
OS: Linux

Any time I change the message list column width (make it bigger), then switch to another folder the message list columns are returned to previous size. Stopping and then restarting the application makes the setting stick however.

This is not per folder behavior, as returning to first folder keeps old column size.

Seems to work here (3.5 branch r582187)
Comment 2 Glenn 2006-09-16 01:56:34 UTC
Odd. I cant get it to reproduce either. I only noticed this after a clean install, which after loading KMail, I never manually restarted it again until this bug annoyed me too much. Just let the login session start and stop it.

Only thing I can think of is that it wrote something to the local config that isn't written when shutdown by logging out, which made column width persistent. Based on that idea, a clean user should exhibit the same symptoms until manually restarting KMail. But no dice. So I don't know. maybe it was ghosts in the machine :) Cheers for checking
