Description solsTiCe 2006-09-12 19:22:41 UTC
Version: svn 582718 (using KDE KDE 3.5.4)
Installed from: Slackware Packages
OS: Linux

amarok does not play the last second of mp3s.
but xine does play it.

take your favorite tube. cut it at the critical moment of your choice. you will not hear the last second with amarok (xine engine).

that's very annoying when you listen to a podcast and miss the 3 or 4 last words because of that.

xine engine auto-detection mode but i use alsa
no crossfading, blank at 0ms

It's a known xinelib bug.

i guess it's the same bug that cause the podcast i download with amarok not to have the last seconds too. cause i can't hear and listen to those last seconds whatever the music player i use.

but if i download the podcast with wget and listen to it with mpg321 all is fine.

so there's still nothing better than wget & mpg321 ???

amarok sucks

no it's not a xine-lib bug !

with xine-lib 1.1.3 and xine-ui i can listen to the last second of an mp3 while i can't hear it with amarok using xine engine

and using amarok svn 611973
