Description Frans Englich 2006-09-11 17:38:59 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.4)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
OS: Linux

Using a free IMAP account from imapmail.org(configured to be of type cachedimap), the default folders Drafts, Send Items, and Trash appear as children of the "inbox" folder in KMail, which they aren't, at least no in www.imapmail.org's web interface.

In the namespaces configuration for this account, it says:
Personal: INBOX.
Other users: user.
Shared: <Empty>

Editing these to all be empty(that is, they afterwards reads <Empty>) doesn't help. The problem is that:

* the folders are children of the inbox, as described above
* I cannot create folders that are children of the account(permission error). Only folders that are children of the inbox works.

While googling I found this FAQ entry:
http://www.inter7.com/courierimap/FAQ.html#namespace

Is this a bug in KMail?

More details:

If I view "subscriptions..." for the account, I can select "inbox", where all the folders appear as children of that "inbox".
