Version: unknown (using KDE 3.5.4, Debian Package 4:3.5.4-3 (testing/unstable)) Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.17.6 i use firefox to test web-based apps i develop. to not have it occupy unecessary space it's shaded. if i type an url into trhe url-bar and the url seems known, firefox opens a drop-down to choose a matching url -- if that drop-down opens ffox usually looses the focus and everything i type goes to the next window, mostly my editor, thus having caused a few troubles because of unintended chnages to my code ... even if ffox opens a popup (like the password-manager) ffox loses focus. imo ffox should in all these circumstances keep focus. while the focus transfer in case of popups maybe rather an issue of ffox, the loss of focus on drop-down of the url-bar seems a bug of kdesktop to me.
You mean the window manager (kwin), more precisely. An easy way to find out if kwin is at fault is to try with another window manager...
