Version:           1.9.4 (using KDE 3.5.4, Kubuntu Package 4:3.5.4-0ubuntu2~dapper1 )
Compiler:          Target: x86_64-linux-gnu
OS:                Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.15-26-amd64-k8

When I click on a "pict6336.jpeg" attachment file though it is opening automatically the window "Opening attchment .." with Gimp proposed it does not work ; Gimp dispays an error message saying this :
not possible to open file '/tmp/kde-dmoyne/pict6336.jpg_'

but doing the same procedure with Gimp already opened it works !!!!

KDE-PIM bug weekend:  Still reported as a problem, but only in certain cases. 
(gimp fails, but openoffice works for some).  Reopening for further investigation.
