Description Dmitry Noviy 2006-08-22 07:38:52 UTC
Version: 1.9.3 (using KDE KDE 3.5.3)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
Compiler: gcc-3.3-base 3.3.6-13 gcc-4.0-base 4.0.3-3 gcc-4.1-base 4.1.1-5 libgcc1 4.1.1-5 - don't know why they all are installed :)
OS: Linux

I did't do anything, kmail was at background.
But then it crashed.
Nothing interesting in logs.

Please let me know if any additional info is needed.

Comment 1 Ingo Klöcker 2006-08-22 09:26:44 UTC
I'm sorry, but the crash report doesn't contain any interesting information telling us why KMail crashed.

If KMail crashes periodically if it's in the background then it crashes probably while fetching new mail. A bug which caused this to happen for POP accounts was fixed in the most recent version so please try whether updating to KDE 3.5.4 helps.
Comment 2 Dmitry Noviy 2006-08-22 09:35:28 UTC
Ok, thanks for attention.

By the way, I have few mailboxes with IMAP only. Is the similar bug for IMAP fixed?

I experience the same behavior with KMail 1.9.5 from Debian Etch:

Comment 4 Dario Andres 2009-10-02 03:41:55 UTC
The original report never got a complete backtrace...
Comment 5 Nicolas L. 2010-08-19 10:36:36 UTC
do you still reproduce this bug ? if yes can you provide the needed backtrace ?

thank you a lot
Comment 6 Andrew Crouthamel 2018-09-04 18:21:48 UTC
Hello! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this version of Kmail has been unmaintained for many years so I am closing this bug. Please try using the latest version of Kmail to see if your issue persists. If it does, please submit a new bug in "kmail2". Thank you!
