Description Shriramana Sharma 2006-08-21 16:26:24 UTC
Version: (using KDE Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources

Commit 549548 "changing the defualt [sic] folder color to brown" accessible http://websvn.kde.org/trunk/playground/artwork/Oxygen/theme/svg/filesystems/?rev=549548 and depicted at http://commit-digest.org/issues/2006-06-11/moreinfo/549548/#visual should be reversed.

As http://dot.kde.org/1150047999/1150051753/ shows, the KDE fans do not like it. It goes against the blue-hue tradition of KDE, looks like GNOME, is too dull and many other objections. The respondents at dot.kde.org are only a sampling of the entirety of KDE users many of whom may not be reading dot.kde.org news and so do not know what is in store for KDE 4 in this matter. It is patent that the KDE-public will not like it.

There is yet time to reverse the deed, and it should be reversed.

Please, please, please...

Really this is not the sort of thing you open bugs on, even if classified as a wish
