Description Michel D'HOOGE 2006-08-17 14:12:34 UTC
Version: 1.9.4 (using KDE 3.5.4, Kubuntu Package 4:3.5.4-0ubuntu2~dapper1 )
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.15-26-686

After having renamed the parent folder of all my mailing lists, the properties, ML configuration, icons and expiring delays (in a word:
everything) of all the contained subfolders were lost. Note that it is not a transient bug because I can reproduce this behaviour each time I rename that folder.

If I quit KMail just after the renaming, my kmailrc contains good, filled-in entries with the old folder name (like [Folder-.Name with space.directory/kdepim]) and new empty entries with the new folder name (like [Folder-.Lists.directory/kdepim]). After starting and quitting KMail once more, all the good, old entries have been removed.

I also noticed that if an identity is set to save sent mails in the renamed folder, the path is not updated.

Maybe related to bug 113266

Looks as if this has been work arounded. I cannot rename a folder in KDE 4.3
