Hi there,

Is it possible to have plugins to kpdf such as a "translate" or "lookup" Plugin.
Maybe this is related to the wish to integrate the searchplugins from konqueror.

I 've been reading a lot of English PDFs these days and my bad Enlish resulted in a heavy usage of dict.cc (German-English/English-German Translations). As there already is a plugin for Konqueror, which lets me lookup words more quickly, I wondered if such a thing is possible for KPDF/oKular too.

I thought about something like this: When you mark a word with the text-extraction tool there could be a "translate" option/submenu in the context-menu which (magically ;)) translates the word and shows translation in some sort of tooltip.

Unfortunately I am not a C++ Developer and do not really know how to do this, so I can only deliver the idea.

regards
Til

should not be too difficult, if we have time we'll see if we can implement it.

This is a duplicate of bug #119685. And #119685 has a mockup showing how it could be done in a more generic way: attachment 14170 [details]

dupe of #119685 (IMHO).
