Description Pieter Botha 2006-08-14 18:28:23 UTC
Version: 1.4.1 (using KDE KDE 3.5.4)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

I have a playlist of 6100 songs.
Starting with the 1.4.1 beta, this bug appeared.
Basically everytime amarok is started, it throws away songs. Basically, I would start it, and then only see like 1100 tunes in the current playlist. I then have to reload the playlist by going to Playlist -> Smart -> All Collection.

This is really weird.
What info do you guys need?

Btw: I'm using Sqlite (new database - have also erased the previous one due to earlier bugs).
All songs are mp3.

The real problem is that KDE kills amarok on a log off because it is taking too long to write the playlist to the disk.

I think i have a solution to the problem, will look into it later.

ps - does this happen everytime the app starts, or only on log on?
pps - check ~/.kde/share/apps/amarok/current.xml to see if tracks are missing.

Screenshot

This is a screenshot of the xml file in firefox showing the second last as well
as the last entry.
Then we have the second last and last entries file info dialog from amarok. You
can see that amarok did not read the last entry (all of its info).
Then we have amarok.
