KDE is hardcoded to search for kderc configuration data in /etc/kderc. This is troublesome for those with several different builds of KDE on the same machine for which they wish to separate the configuration data.

This behaviour is not obvious. The --sysconfdir option for configure is not honoured. Please at least add an option to be able to set the search path for this data.
