Version: 0.6.1 (using KDE 3.3.2, (3.1)) Compiler: gcc version 3.3.5 (Debian 1:3.3.5-13) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.8-2-k7 Apparently, there's no obvious way to remove an icon once assigned to an application ever again. True, once can re-assign some other icon -- but entirely remove the old one? No (obvious) way. Should be added. Thanks. :)

Are you certain this here bug is a dupe of bug 114895 ? I mean, this here is about app icons -- that one is about toolbar icons. (App icon as chosen via any icon on the desktop -> RMB -> Properties -> <Icon> icon -> choose one.) Also, as most of my reports get closed because of not anymore relevant to KDE4: Does this here bug exist in KDE4, still? Wolfram
You are right, these are different use cases. But the issue in both cases is that the KIconDialog has no way to select "no icon". And in this bug tracker, we usually resolve duplicate by keeping the older entry.
