Version: 0.12.1 (using KDE 3.4.2 Level "b" , SUSE 10.0) Compiler: Target: i586-suse-linux OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.13-15.11-default When a contact has a longer than usual display name and the conversation window is made smaller, the timestamp overlaps the contacts display name making it illegible. I have only seen the bug on the "clear" style chat window, clean works fine.
I can confirm that bug with kopete 0.50.80 from Kubuntu packages. "Clear" lets Nickname and Timestamp overlap, where "Clean" does a line break to avoid that.

I can confirm this bug with Kopete 0.99.90, "Kopete" and "Clean" work well, "Clear" still lets Nickname and Timestamp overlap.
Thank you for the bug report. As this report hasn't seen any changes in 5 years or more, we ask if you can please confirm that the issue still persists. If this bug is no longer persisting or relevant please change the status to resolved.
Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained. Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
