Description Immanuel Office 2006-07-20 15:57:14 UTC
Version: 3.5 (using KDE 3.5.2) (using KDE KDE 3.5.2)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

I had read that as of KDE 3.5, you would be able to send out reminders by email. This option appears to be there for me, but is greyed out.

Is the feature still being worked on, or is there another reason mine is greyed out? (a configuration setting, eg. smtp, is missing, or a package I need to enable this)

Really, where did you read this?

yes, because the functionality is not implemented...

Cheers,
Reinhold

I thought I read it in a change log.

In the documentation: http://docs.kde.org/stable/en/kdepim/korganizer/entering-data.html#entering-data-events-general under the General Tab, Reminder section it states: "Using this dialog, you can set repeating intervals for your reminders, and create special reminders that play sounds, run programs, or send emails."

Is the documentation wrong, then?

Apparently, yes.

Then this bug is to fix the documentation please.
Comment 5 Nicholas Sushkin 2006-09-01 21:23:07 UTC
I'd say, implement the feature (preferred) or remove the button. How many people were sent on a wild goose chase trying to figure out how to enable the button.

Reassigning all KOrganizer bug reports and wishes to the newly created
korganizer-devel mailing list.

The radio button is now hidden.

I'll leave this bug open, as a wish, so we don't forget to implement it.

Closing as we already have a wish for this.
