Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.1) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux Add/Remove Program (based on adept) does not allow to enable universe. The problem is that it does allow to search in "unsupported" aka universe. One has to go to System > Adept and "manage repositories" Version: KUbuntu 6.06 from CD. Taken from https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/adept/+bug/52775 and created here. I think this is more of a wishlist item then a bug, marked this as upstream on launchpad.
The bug is that there is no manage repositories menu entry in Adept Installer. One shouldn't have to go to a different program (the manager) to enable software repositories.
Yes, repository management needs to be added to Adept in general. If it is done well enough, it should be accessible in all Adept components, I'd say.
Adept has been in the unmaintained state for a few years. Use muon[1] as replacement . [1] https://launchpad.net/muon
