Description gsasha 2006-07-13 12:09:06 UTC
Version: 1.2 (using KDE 3.5.2, Kubuntu Package 4:3.5.2-0ubuntu18 dapper)
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.15-25-686

Thunderbird has a nice and useful feature - when I write a new mail, I can request to store it in a supplied folder when it is sent.

I think Kontact should have this feature too. Even more, it would be nice to press a "Copy to folder" button and have the message stored there - closing automatically, so it would provide a visual feedback on the message being stored.

This, in conjunction with my other report http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=130761 , would allow using Kontact as a general purpose document management system (no, the notes system does not really cut it - I want to be able to store messages I get from people and messages I send to people in folders along with things I write to myself).

Identities->Advanced->Sent Mail Folder for the first of those.

No, not exactly.

The option you mentioned is a global one. What Mozilla has, and what I would like to see in Kmail, is a per-message option, accessible from the pull-down menus of the window in which the message is being composed.

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
Thank you for your understanding.

Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2.
