Version: 1.5.1 (using KDE KDE 3.5.3) Installed from: Mandriva RPMs OS: Linux I'm having difficulty using SCIM input methods in kspread because cells don't accept direct input. If I double or single click in a cell and type "ka" to write "か", the k appears on the formula toolbar but disappears when I type the a. Nothing is shown or entered in the cell. It seems that I have to do the following for each cell where I want to enter Japanese. 1. Double click in a cell. 2. Click in the field on the formula toolbar. 3. Type Japanese words there and press Enter. I can directly input Japanese in KChart and KWordQuiz, though I have to double click in each cell. Qt version is 3.3.6 with Qt-immodule enabled.
I can confirm. I'm using Qt 3.3.6, KDE 3.5.6 and Koffice 1.6.1 I can not type japanese in empty cells. I am using the skim KDE frontend to SCIM input methods system which works fine everywhere. here is what I need to do to input japanese in a kspread cell 1. click on the cell 2. enter a space (or anything) 3. move out of the cell 4. click back on the cell 5. click on the formula input field 6. delete the previously entered space 7. enter the japanese text. PLEASE !!!
Is it possible for you to try it with the 2 series to see if the bug is still present?
