Description Andy Goss 2006-07-07 05:51:29 UTC
Version: 1.9.3 (using KDE KDE 3.5.3)
Installed from: Fedora RPMs
OS: Linux

One of the few advantages of Evolution over Kmail is the multiple signature choice. I have one email address that I use for everything. I write emails to my wife, children, clients, employers, mailing lists, and others. Each warrants a different style of signature, for instance I don't want my phone number displayed on a mailing list, and my family don't need to be told my surname, or even my actual name at all.
While multiple signatures are not an absolute neccessity, I feel they would be welcomed by many.

I'm using different identities for exactly this purpose. It might be a bit overkill to use different identities just for getting different signatures, but in the end a solution to choose a particular signature won't be any easier than the solution using different identities.
