Description Ken Dere 2006-07-03 22:45:25 UTC
Version: 1.2.2 (using KDE KDE 3.5.2)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
Compiler: installed from rpm
OS: Linux

previously, I would often have to force access to the archive since it seemed two instances were running (or something like that)

then, the power went of and my computer shut down

now, I can not launch Akregator without immediately getting a signal 11/sigsegv report and exiting. I did delete the lock file but that did not change anything.

here is the backtrace

Comment 1 Frank Osterfeld 2006-07-05 14:18:22 UTC
This is due to a corrupted archive file. To make it work again, you have to delete/move $KDEHOME/share/apps/akregator/Archive/*mk4.
If there are archived feeds with personal value for you, you can try to copy
the according .mk4 files (look for files similar to the feed url) back to that archive.

Can you provide some information when this happened? E.g., did it happen right after upgrading KDE, or after a crash?

Comment 2 Ken Dere 2006-07-05 22:02:58 UTC
This happened after a power outage so I am not surprised something got
corrupted. I will try fiddling with the files and see what happens. Thanks
for the advice.
