Version: 1.3.91 (using KDE 3.5.3, Kubuntu Package 4:3.5.3-0ubuntu0.1 dapper) Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.15-25-386 it is impossible to do a drag-n-drop from the image view kpart to an other location. When you use the sidebar showing the folder tree, this is very useful to quickly sort and save your pictures while browsing the web (and thanks for this great app, really :)
This should be fixed in current SVN [1]. Can you give it a try? [1]: Instructions to build Gwenview from SVN: http://gwenview.sourceforge.net/svn
hi, sorry but I can't make the svn version works... following your cvs howto, all download, compile and seems to install well but I still have the 1.4.0 version (it should at least be a v1.4.1 I think because it's the last version in the NEW text file)
Hum... In fact, I forgot to update the version number in SVN version... sorry. So chances are high you are running the SVN version. To make things more clear, I changed version number, so you can update your copy with "svn up" and rebuild.
you're right, I was certainly running the good version at first but now I'm sure (SVN>=20061107)... and the drag-n-drop still don't work Maybe it comes from me but I don't see what I could do wrong (I even restarded KDE after the update) So, I open Konqueror, load a picture and do a drag-n-drop from this picture to an other konqueror windows (to my home) or to a folder in the sidebar. The cursor changes and becomes a little hand but I can't drop anything... I use Kubuntu edgy (RC)
Oh I see. Problem is, dragging is used to scroll the image, so it can't be used to drag the image file. If you want to drag the file, you can instead drag the icon on the left of the URL line edit or the tab from the tab bar.
OK, it works IMO, not as handy or intuitive as it could have been with a drag-n-drop from the picture to the folder but it's ok :) Thank you, I close the bug
