Description kilrae 2006-06-30 01:02:15 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.2)
Installed from: FreeBSD Ports
OS: FreeBSD

What would be nice would be an option to automatically save your KDE session when the computer goes idle. I know I'm not alone in being annoyed at having the power go out and being sent back to a week old session. The state you leave your computer in when you walk away is generally a state you intend to return to, and thus is a good time to save.

It would save the frustration of going to sleep and waking up to find your computer has restarted and your session lost. Of course, it wouldn't help too much if the computer restarted while you were working, but it would be more likely closer to the current state than the last time you logged out of KDE.
