Description meyerm 2006-06-28 21:18:59 UTC
Version: 0.12.0 (using KDE 3.5.3, Gentoo)
Compiler: Target: i686-pc-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.16.18-xen

This behaviour was first seen with the kopete delivered with KDE 3.5.3. I updated kopete independently from KDE to see if kopete 0.12 is also affected. It is ;-)

Kopete automatically changes it status from offline (not away or sth. "almost-online" like that) to online. It connects to the IM servers without any action from the user. This happens with the jabber and ICQ-accounts. The "go online at activity" option is not enabled (even though it shouldn't have any impact here, but since it is also broken - see #129920 - I just wanted to mention).

Do you have any connection status plugin enabled? These will switch status for you? Check the Configure Plugins dialog.
Comment 2 meyerm 2006-06-28 22:13:02 UTC
Only the plugins "KopeTex", "crytography" and "history" are active. At the "behaviour"-settings the "Become available when detecting activity again" is also deactivated.

New information. The faulty part seems to be RSIbreak! Only when RSIbreak is running, kopete shows this behaeviour. Since I don't know which program makes the problem, I don't know if I should close this bug.

It is RSIBreaks 'fault'.
