Description Jonathan Tucker 2006-06-26 22:56:18 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.0)
Installed from: Mandriva RPMs
OS: Linux

Cookie engine fails to load
Wallet does not allow any new wallets to be created and Kopete crashes X if quit, whilst trying to access wallet (no wallet available, since it cannot be created)

kded is crashed.
Comment 2 Jonathan Tucker 2006-06-27 01:59:55 UTC
Thank you for the quick response.
kded seems to run at about 85-99% for a minute or two, sometimes crashing sometimes not. Then seems to settle down, maybe it does stop, yep just checked.
OK any initial suggestions? What further information, may I provide?

OK it maybe a duplicate, your system doesn't make it easy to determine when it is a duplicate. But anyway, where's the solution? Or I take it you currently don't have one! Do you need help to determine the problem?
Comment 5 Jonathan Tucker 2006-06-27 12:21:29 UTC
OK, having tried a few ideas out, I have found that in my case it is Kat that is causing the problem.
On removing all the indexes, kded stopped crashing and everything now works as expected.
