This is reall an annoyance, as I have also noticed it in KDE 3.5.2 for me also. It occurs on all 3 of my systems running Kubuntu 6.06, all 3 now running KDE 3.5.3. I have a SMB printer setup on a Windows 2000 machine that is wide open, by wide open I mean full guest access to the shares. However, when I goto add a SMB printer, I have to scan the network using "Anonymous" as this is the only way I can find computers on the network. Once I complete the scan, I have to go back to "User Identification" and select "Guest" in order to select the machine the printer is on, and have the printer identified. Everything works like a charm after this. Like I said, this is more of an annoyance than anything. This is out of the box too. I tried to add this bug to Malone, but according to Malone I had to bring my issue to you. My printers are setup and functioning fine, as a matter of fact they run to smoothe, which is a good thing. Sorry to "BUG" you, but thank you for your time.
