Description arne anka 2006-06-02 15:39:09 UTC
Version: 0.11.2 (using KDE 3.5.3, Debian Package 4:3.5.3-1 (testing/unstable))
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.15.2

just had a longer chat with my sister regarding her usb-controller. i send her several commands to alter grub's menu.lst and load/unload modules and so on.
we quitted chatting -- but i forgot a question. clicking her nick in the contacts-list froze the whole kopete. after the third time i tried to open the history -- and everything was frozen again and cpu-load went up to 100% (i've got two cpus). i removed the log of our recent chat from the folder below ~/.kde/ and everything went well again.
the history is not longer than with other contacts, so it should not be an issue of the plain size. but probably the parser get's stuck with a char or sequence of chars?
i'll check the history for sensitive data and send it to you if needed.

just in case it matters: it was a jabber-chat.
