Description Martin Ostertag 2006-05-29 15:32:27 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.2)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
Compiler: gcc 3.4.6
OS: Solaris

on solaris the applet clock displays the wrong timezone. This is the case due to a bug in kdelibs/kdecore/ktimezones.cpp. The class does not return valid timezones on Solaris 2.8. The shell script trying to create a zones.tab fails. attached is a fix, which works for me on Solaris 2.8.

I have tested this patch on OpenSolaris (Solaris Nevada Build 78) with KDE 3.5.8 compiled using Gcc 3.4.3 and it works. I am able to see all the timezones instead of only "UTC" that I was getting earlier.
Comment 3 Dario Andres 2009-05-01 20:31:17 UTC
Is this still happening on KDE4?
Thanks
Comment 4 Maarten De Meyer 2012-10-24 10:27:50 UTC
Can somebody using solaris with KDE 4 confirm if this is still happening?
Looking at comment #3 I think not.
