Description Daniel 2006-05-26 18:29:34 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.3)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

It would be wonderful if red Telrad circles could be displayed on an arbitrary number of objects. Basically, the user would right click an object, and one item on the menu would be "display Telrad circle" or similar, which is a toggleable menu item.

If selected, the circles are displayed on both the screen, and most importantly, the printed map.

Basically, the telrad circles are just circles around the object 1/2 degree, 2 degrees, and 4 degrees in diameter.

In addition, simply adding Telrad circles to the FOV tool (The FOV builder seems to only allow a single circle) would also be a huge improvement.

Hi,

David: Telrad circles are now in the predefined FOV list.
Daniel: kstars draws Telrad circles at the centre of the screen. Does it fulfull your wish or did you want to display several Telrad at the same time, centred on different objects? It the latter case it would be quite a bit of work. In the former case this wish can be closed.

Hello,

Alexey has been working on improving the FOV. Is this wish on you plans Alexey?

No. Placement of FOV at arbitrary place require much work and it's not clear how should it be implemented from UI perspective.
