Version: 1.2 (using KDE 3.5.0, compiled sources) Compiler: gcc version 3.4.4 20050721 (Red Hat 3.4.4-2) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.9-1.667smp I set behaviour to delete articles older 1 day. There are oll expired articles was deleted from list. But files in ~/.kde/share/apps/akregator/ have size same before deletion. I read these files - all "deleted" articles stayed in files. Why?
Please consider fixing this bug - it's really annoying when you have huge amounts of feeds and archive (parts of) them. My ~/.kde/share/apps/akregator/ is now 400 MB big, and lots of that is articles which are already expired and should have gone -- but they aren't gone (at least not from the disk). This causes my disk to fill more and more and startup-times and memory consumption of akregator are horrible and keep getting worse...
Tested using r887704 compiled with gcc version 4.3.2 (Gentoo 4.3.2 p1.1). This bug is still here. Steps to reproduce: 1. Get lots of feeds. 2. Sync. 3. Watch ~/.kde/share/apps/akregator/ grow Hum
