Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.2) Installed from: NetBSD pkgsrc Compiler: gcc 3.3.3 OS: NetBSD If kpdf tries to print (the first page) of the pdf found at http://www.mcs.vuw.ac.nz/~mark/gempi.pdf it produces postscript that our HP printers and ghostscript both object to. Specifically its handling of the ligatures. Acroread prints the file with no problems. Repeat by: View the above document in KPDF. Select "Print to File (Postscript)" and just select printing of page 1. Try to view the produced postscript with kghostview (or other ghostscript based viewer).
I also have a PDF file (Acrobat Destiller generated) that results in invalid Postscript. I will attach the file below. I don't know if KPDF or Poppler causes the problem. Please forward the file to the appropriate authorities please. :)
Oh, I forgot: I use KDE 3.5.4, poppler-0.5.4, ghostscript-esp-8.15.3.

Dik, I guess you're using Gentoo or (k)ubuntu, so please recompile KPDFF without the poppler patch, and tell us if the problem is still there.
Trying my problem pdf file again with KDE 3.5.5 and the latest poppler - it now works so I'm happy for this bug to be resolved.
Closing this bug, since reporter says in comment 5 it is fixed now...
