Description Mark Martinec 2006-05-15 17:46:51 UTC
Version: 1.9.1 (using KDE KDE 3.5.2)
Installed from: FreeBSD Ports
Compiler: gcc version 3.4.4 [FreeBSD] 20050518
OS: FreeBSD

X-Face always shows as a fully-black square when viewed on a amd64
platform (FreeBSD, 64-bit). The same message (accessed on the same
IMAP server) when viewed on an Intel 32-bit platform (FreeBSD again) displays correctly.

I'm observing this behaviour ever since X-Faces became supported
by kmail, through several version of kmail/KDE/FreeBSD. On i386
x-faces are always fine, and on amd64 they always show black.
My KDE environment is pretty much default, no colour customization.

No, things are fine now - with kmail 1.12.4 / KDE 4.3.4, FreeBSD 8.0 @ amd64.
Many things have changed since my report, don't know which change fixed
the problem - probably one of the KDE4 / qt4 upgrades.

I think this can be closed now.
