Description Maciej Pilichowski 2006-05-10 12:14:39 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.2)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

It is possible to fetch the groups, but with no apparent reason KNode doesn't fetch any posts. I does something (I don't know what) but it is so fast I doubt it is fetching posts. No error, no warning, nothing, just emptry groups.

Forte Agent with the same sever (+ wine) works fine.

with
0.10.4 (KDE 3.5.7 "release 72.11" , openSUSE 10.3) of Newsreader (KNode) under Linux (i686) release 2.6.22.18-0.2-default (OS/Kernel) with compiler settings Target: i586-suse-linux same error occurs after check option 'check all groups for expired posts' (german version: Alle Gruppen auf veraltete Artikel pruefen.) not only for groups added at this time nor for accounts active at this time but for all groups and all accounts even set up after taking this option only once. The date is March, 15th 2009. The news servers are albasani (open server in germany) and online (server from german ISP 1und1; not open to public) with groups on linux and harry potter books. All settings looking like prevent some posts to be shown are deselected in setup (like intelligent showing or so). Check for new posts takes not more than a few tenth of seconds (to short to really do something).

Hello! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this project has been unmaintained for many years so I am closing this bug.
