Description nicolas ollivier 2006-05-06 08:37:32 UTC
Version: 0.11.2 (using KDE 3.5.2, Mandriva Linux i586)
Compiler: Target: i586-mandriva-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.12-12mdk

Kopete 0.11.2,

When I want to open setting, the application crash, and I've a "signal 11 (SIGSEGV)".
Comment 1 Bram Schoenmakers 2006-05-06 12:23:36 UTC
Could you please supply a backtrace, because this bug can impossibly be fixed this way.
Comment 2 nicolas ollivier 2006-05-06 14:19:46 UTC
I'm sorry my english is very bad, can you explain me "backtrace"
Comment 3 Matt Rogers 2006-05-09 16:47:49 UTC
the output of the backtrace tab when the crash handler window is displayed is what we need. Please be sure you have gdb installed in order to generate this information.

I hope it's that you want?!?
Cette pile des appels apparaît être inutilisable.
C'est probablement dû au fait que votre paquetage a été construit d'une manière qui empêche de créer des piles d'appels corrects, ou que le cadre de pile a été sérieusement corrompu dans l'incident.

Comment 5 Olivier Goffart 2006-05-13 11:38:30 UTC
Yes it is that. but it is useless because your kopete is not compiled with debug.

Anyway, this is probably related to a known bug in the video config page.

try
rm /opt/kde/share/services/kopete_avdeviceconfig.desktop
that should solve your problem.

Comment 6 nicolas ollivier 2006-05-13 11:49:43 UTC
Hello,
I don't have it :/opt/kde
But I've :/usr/share/services/kopete_avdeviceconfig.desktop, I removed it, and I've again the bug.....

please recompile kopete with debug enabled. the backtrace is useless as it.
