When burning on laptop, and selecting burn ISO image, with verify data checked and multiple coppies,

Insert disc, burns, ejects and asks for reload then press OK (laptop cannot load CD tray) then verifies. all OK.

At this point the problem occurs, k3b then tries to write the next copy on the same disc without ejecting it for new medium to be inserted. The dialog appears saying complete media is inserted and pressing the eject button (on both the dialog and the drive itself) does not eject the medium. The drive is left in the locked state. I have to press a pin into the drives manual eject hole to continue. After inserting a new blank disc burning continues. I am unsure but I think this only happens after the second disc change (when it comes to write the third copy), and then recurs thereafter.

A different bug probably, but if verification fails, which seems to happen sometimes even when the disc was written successfully (with "cannot read file" or similar) the write process aborts, and does not allow to continue burning the rest of the discs.

varification is quite buggy, yes. :(
and yes, writing should continue. I should fix that.

As for the other thing: my guess is automounting as always.

I can confirm this bug on 0.12.17. I burned on CD-RW and the 'Found Rewritable Disk' dialog keeps popping up and, pressing now, the system reports 'cannot eject medium' followed by the 'Found Rewritable Disk' dialog again (unless I am quick enough to press cancel in the dialog underneath.

Oh and the problem occurs when burning ISOs as well.

The second problem is also reported in bug#90168 and seems an issue with SuSE RPMs and not gentoo packages. Can you give some feedback, if you use automount or not?

Could you please try if 1.0pre2 behaves differently?

I am unsure. I use a CDRW for testing all this. k3b ejects the CD after verification is complete, yet it shows the dialog "Found an erasable medium, should it be erased?". Clicking on the right buttons, I was able to burn the 2nd disc.

I will try to remember to reproduce this when I need to burn an image next time.

Works like a charm here.
