Version: 1.2 (using KDE KDE 3.5.1) Installed from: Unlisted Binary Package Action: fetching news (RSS feeds with Agregator) If the title of a feed is very very very long (see the newsfeeds on Kerneltrap), the width of the "detailed progress" box exceeds the screen width. I think it would be better if there was a maximum allowed width of... let's say... 1/2 of the application window width + trimmed text, no matter what (fetching news, downloading mail etc.) is displayed in the detailed progress box. I am not sure if this is a kontact bug only. Now that I think of it, if the detailed progress is present in KMail/Akgregator the same problem might happen there too.
Imho this should be done in libkdepim so the change would go all applications using it.
Couldn't locate kdepimlibs product, so I moved it here.. Can anyone comment to this?
This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present? If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of kdepim (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months.
Created attachment 101301 [details] attachment-16673-0.html Hi Denis, I am the initial reporter of this bug. I can't check if the behaviour is still there, and it is very unlikely for somebody else to be able to validate this. I believe it would be safe to close it now and not wait for 3 months. Actually, it doesn't make much of a difference, since I can bulk-edit all those bugs in December that have not been confirmed. since other potential afflicted users will never find this report anyway, there's no point in keeping it open. Thanks for your feedback.
