Description Abhay Kedia 2006-04-04 18:01:59 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.2)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
Compiler: default-linux/x86/2006.0, gcc-3.4.6, glibc-2.4-r1
OS: Linux

Under KDE 3.5.2, trying to copy paste a file in same location using konqueror produces an error saying "The source and destination are the same file". In earlier versions, there used to be a dialog box asking for a new name for the pasted file. Now, this behaviour is showed only when copying a directory. Please bring this behaviour back for files as well. It was a god send and I don't understand why it was taken away.

How to reproduce: Try to copy and paste a file in the same location in a konqueror window.

Reproducible: Always.

Expected behaviour: Konqueror should show a dialog box and ask for a new name for the file, like what it used to do in earlier versions.
