(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***) Package: kde Version: 1.94 prerelease 1. I am working with SuSE Linux 6.4 on an IBM 570E laptop PC. When I change quickly between application including kde system applications frequently all keyboard inputs become blocked so that the only way to continue working is by shutting down the PC. Particularly when switching from a window with a busy working application to another one by use of [alt][tab] this behaviour is observed. The mouse pointer still moves but mouse buttons do not work either. This problem did not occur in the prior official release of KDE. 2. The main reason for using LINUX is to avoid the many restarts due to system errors in WIN9x. But LINUX also needs to be shutdown by power button when the memomry is full and key input does not work any longer. A workaround should be available to kill the trouble causing process from keyboard instead shutting down the computer. BR Thomas Piekenbrock
Can not duplicate this one. please re-open if still a problem.
Problem disappeared at 2.0.1 release. In 2.1.0 the system got occasionally hooked up when clicking on a busy window but I need to investigate this more thoroughly. Thomas Piekenbrock ext Christopher Molnar wrote: > > Can not duplicate this one. > > please re-open if still a problem.
I'm not sure you wanted to communicate this with me! :-) I would like to help but am currently busy doing other cool stuff for Kde and linux in general. Perhaps one of the intended recipients is not receiving this correspondence and you guys might think this person is ignoring you. ;-)) just over the last day or two I have received 17-18 messages with Subject ".. Bug# xxxx ... " best regards. hristo On Monday 12 March 2001 23:00 Thomas Piekenbrock (NMP/Tokyo) wrote: > Problem disappeared at 2.0.1 release. > In 2.1.0 the system got occasionally hooked up > when clicking on a busy window but I need to > investigate this more thoroughly. > Thomas Piekenbrock > > ext Christopher Molnar wrote: > > Can not duplicate this one. > > > > please re-open if still a problem. > > > >> Visit http://master.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kde-devel#unsub to > >> unsubscribe << > >
