Installed from: Unspecified Linux

Hi,

When I try to install Digikam with the new KDE 3.5.2, I get the following error:

file /opt/kde3/share/mimelnk/image/x-raw.desktop from install of digikam-0.8.1-8 conflicts with file from package kdelibs3-3.5.2-3

Greets, Derk

That sounds like a distribution packaging problem. What distro are you running? You should report this issue to their bug tracking forum.

I run SuSe 10.0 and Digikam worked great under KDE 3.5.1 When I tried to
update to KDE 3.5.2 I got an error that Digikam was incompatible with some
KDE 3.5.2 file. I read many people had to delete Digikam before they were
able to install 3.5.2

Greetings, Derk

If you use SUSE's supplementary KDE packages then you should also use supplementary's digikam package.
