Version: 0.20 (using KDE 3.5.1 Level "a" , SUSE 10.0 UNSUPPORTED) Compiler: Target: i586-suse-linux OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.13-15.8-default I view ps-files with kghostview over the kio-"fish"-protocol (SCP). If I hit "reload", nothing happens. Kghostview seems to do something, because the screen is refreshed, but nothing happens over the network, there is no reload of the modified file.
Was the file downloaded to /tmp before being opened in kghostview?
fish isn't scp
Feedback timeout, but please reopen if you have the answer to the question in comment 1. Thanks!
yes, i found the file (under a temporary name) in /tmp/kde-username. in my kde-settings ps-files are opened with kghostview directly with with url "%u". KGhostview displays the path correctly in the window-header. kwrite for example reloads files correctly over the protocol.

please ignore the attachment, there seems to be a bug in bugs.kde.org, the attachment was for a bug in kopete !?
Could you check whether or not Okular updates the file content properly?
No answer for years.
