Description Wolfgang Jeltsch 2006-03-23 12:35:59 UTC
Version: 1.7.2 (using KDE 3.3.2, (3.1))
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.5 (Debian 1:3.3.5-13)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.8-2-386

Hello,

in my opinion, it's desirable to be able to watch or ignore subthreads. With “subthread” I mean an arbitrary message plus all its direct and indirect follow-ups. So a thread is a special case of a subthread with the subthread root being a message which is not a follow-up. Therefore, the “Watch thread” and “Ignore thread” features could (and should) be removed if watching and ignoring of subthreads is added.

I propose that when one clicks on something like “Watch subthread” or “Ignore subthread”, the subthread which is rooted at the currently displayed message is watched or ignored respectively.

Best wishes,
Wolfgang
