Version: 1.9.1 (using KDE 3.5.1 Level "a" , SUSE 10.1) Compiler: Target: i586-suse-linux OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.16-rc6-git1-4-smp Comparable to: Bug 48560 This is definitely not fixed in the version I use (KDE 3.5.1 from SuSE 10.1 Beta 8). I'm using IMAP (not cachedimap) with my 1&1 e-mail account. Their servers are really strange, broken and slow (I'm actually surprised, that kmail did not lose mails or crash when working with my account this time ;)), but this does not happen in Mozilla Thunderbird or other mail clients. The exact problem is: I look at the message list, everything looks correct. I click on a mail where the senders name in the header is in quotation marks (e.g.: From: "amazon.de" <promotion5@amazon.de>). Now when kmail loads the mail from the server, the senders name is shown like this: \"amazon.de\" in the message list. The senders name remains backslash-quoted, until I select another mail in the list - it is then immediately shown as amazon.de (correctly without any quotes) again. I can get more than just one mail in the list to be shown with escaped quotes by clicking very fast through the list, so kmail can't keep up.
Cannot reproduce anymore. Can you?
