Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.1) Installed from: SuSE RPMs When handling big emoticoins themes (as the animated found in www.kde-look.org), kopete currently tries to resize/cut all images to fit the screen better. There are two problems with this way: 1) sometimes the list don't open, probally there are some errors when resizing/cutting, probally a cache would solve this problem 2) you can't see the full image, so sometimes it's hard to find that you want. My solution is very imple, after a size (let's say 400 pixels), kopete should add scrollbars to the smile choose menu. Miranda does it this way and works much better, IMHO.
Also the size of the emoticon selection dialog is different from time to time, kopete resizes the images in different ways on each occation.
I noticed that this: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=127723 is the same bug. I attached a patch there to solve the problem anyway
