Description Andrea Benazzo 2006-03-13 22:33:21 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.1)
Installed from: Slackware Packages

I'd really love to bookmark a line in Kwrite, then bookmark an HTML page in Konqueror and a PDF document in Kpdf...and having an applet which shows all current bookmarks (as they may be all related).

I mean to have an external bookmark facility, which holds all the bookmarks of every KDE application, instead of having a bookmark list in every single app.

Actually, the Bookmark Applet just takes care of Konqueror's bookmark...why not expand this and create a common repository?

This could lead to a real mess as they ought to be categorized and at least divided into their originating application, but it'd be useful for the user to group several bookmarks into work-sessions.

Recalling the initial example:
I'm writing my code in Kwrite.
I'm reading the man page in Konqueror.
I'm following the tutorial on PDF.

I'd really love to have all of the notes (bookmarks) I placed throughout the documents in a simple applet.

What do you think?

I think this is not a wish for KDevelop...

Not sure if it's a perfect match, but KDesktop ought to be closer. Reassigning.
