Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.3) Installed from: Gentoo Packages OS: Linux In window list, where i see window names, busy windows should have progress bars. I mean, in bottom of screen (usually), there is icon and window name. As addition, there should be progressbar -- small line in top/bottom of window name or just colors behind it (let designers decide such things;)). In such way, i could have more information about what's going on always on screen. If window name is a menu, progress-bar should contain progresses about all sub-windows.
one more small notice -- in beginning, it would be nice if those window progresses are optionally connected with window titles. If window title is:50% downloaded of 4 filesThen last 50% of this title should be inverse-colored in window lists (both menu or bottom-list). Later, new numeric value should be added. As many progresses contain several progressbars in one, this should be supported, then -- if 35% of packages is downloaded, but only 20% really installed, then it should be shown. Up to 4 progresses, where every next one must be equal or bigger than previous, should be enough in all conditions -- more than that is hard to design and user may open the window, after all.It should be later considered if any kind of advanced progressbar like those in some downloaders, which download several parts at once, should be supported. I personally think that they look nice, but contain almost no additional information and would make things look fuzzy. In such case, optional owner-draw window title should be considered, too (i would turn it probably off, at least for most programs -- if there was pause button for music, would be ok).ttv
seems to be for plasma
