Description w.posche 2006-03-06 18:17:41 UTC
Version: 1.4-beta2 (using KDE KDE 3.5.1)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

I just downloaded the amarok1.4-beta2 and tried the download covers from Amazon feature the first time. The performance of this script is very poor, though. Every 4th cover or so has been downloaded incorrectly. E.g. for the Pearl Jam bootlegs from their 2000 tour it downloaded the live album of Benayora hall. For numerous other examples it didn't even get the right artist (e.g. for the PJ Christmas singles a Il Divo something was showed).

I had to delete the incorrect covers manually afterwards, which took me some time. Now my request:

Can you implement a confirmation list presented after the import, where you can just check (like a checkbox) all the covers in case they are correct. Maybe when the program isn't quite sure if it picked the right album cover, the checkbox is unchecked by default, and if it is confident, the box is checked by default.

I hope it's quite clear what I mean.

We can't do much about it showing wrong covers, it shows whatever amazon returns. Anyway, the "show all returned covers at once and let me choose the correct one" is a dup.
