Version: 1.9.1 (using KDE KDE 3.5.1) Installed from: Slackware Packages OS: Linux I'm currently living with the ugly filter hack and subfolders to have something like clear account seperation, but I'd like to see that in KMail natively. If it is not clear, what I mean have a look at this image I gimped up: http://www.vaultofsages.de/~dexterf/pub/kmail2.png Every account is a top level folder and has inbox, sent, trash, templates (german l10n here: Posteingang = inbox etc) Moz hunderbird offers this behaviour as an option on first setup, too. In fact this has kept me from using KMail for the last 5 years and I still don't like it now. This has been requested in KMail 1.something and 2.something already by the way.
Created attachment 15001 [details] Image showing it works Please describe what isn't working. As you can see from my attachment, it is working just fine to have multiple accounts. KMail's latest version is 1.9.1, so it can't have been requested for KMail 2.x.
It works for IMAP accounts, but as far as I see, it's not possible with POP3 accounts. Unfortunately not everyone has only IMAP accounts. This is currently keeping me in Thunderbird.
Thiago, (s)he's talking about having same thing with POP accounts, I think. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 97205 ***
Hey, I'm not the only one who wants this, great.
BTW, in all these duplicate bugs I have now seen quite a lot of people who'd like to see this feature - and that's only those are sufficiently annoyed to file a bug report / wish list item.
