Description Wilbert Berendsen 2006-03-03 10:26:11 UTC
Version: 1.9.1 (using KDE 3.5.1, Gentoo)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.5-20050130 (Gentoo Linux 3.3.5.20050130-r1, ssp-3.3.5.20050130-1, pie-8.7.7.1)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.15-gentoo-r5

Today Kontact crashed (because I ran Kontact while it was already started, that's another story).

After restarting, KMail complained that it could not create a folder on the (dimap) server. But the folder already exists, and KMail should just not _try_ to create that folder.

So somehow a crash messes up KMails idea of the folders on the server.

Yes, KMail crashes always mess up its indices and what it knows about the server.

Same symptoms here. Is there any news about this bug?

Just a 'me too'. I'm running SUSE 10.1, using KDE 3.5.3.

Thiago, do you have ideas on how this can be fixed? I might be able to spend some time looking into it if you can give direction for a good solution...

After upgrading to 3.5.4 in Debian testing this problem did not appear anymore. kmail did crash quite a few times since then, but I did not have any problems like this.

Last report said "fixed" and there are no further reports. Please report back if you still experience this in a recent kmail version
