Description urwald 2006-03-01 22:19:59 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.2)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

When you copy a file from a linux partition to a windows partition, then no error like "permissions couldn't be changed" is shown.

This should also be the case when copiing to a directory mounted as smbfs - but actually you see the described error message and have to confirm them for _each_ files - which is much work when you copy much files.

It's a warning, the copying should still be happening while the dialog box is shown, isn't it?

Or do you see it waiting for the answer to the message box?

Is this still happening with KDE 4? (sorry, I have too many bugs to look at to have time for testing them all)

No, copying was stopping.

Yes, this was the case.

Sorry, I don't have such a configuration any more. (I have no longer a "Windows" server computer that exports a network drive). So I can't test it with KDE4 anymore. :-(

FWIW this does still happen to me in KDE 4.3.

Is this still the case in KDE 4.10 or higher ?
