Description Krzysztof Lichota 2006-02-24 01:40:43 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.1)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

Here is the scenario:
1. Open media:/ URL
2. Browse inside one of partitions.
3. Find KWord file.
4. Right click on file and choose "Properties".
5. Click "Cancel" to close window -> Crash

100% reproducible.
The same scenario for other files (for example JPG) does not cause crash.
The same scenario for the same KWord file on local filesystem does not cause the crash.
I have also noticed that if KWord file is accessed using media:/, additional file info (Author, etc.) in Properties does not appear, while if it is accessed as local file, it appears.

KOffice version: 1.4.2

Here is the backtrace:

Still valid...
Comment 2 Marek Laane 2007-08-30 00:51:59 UTC
Any hope it will be fixed? (at least for KOffice2?)
Comment 3 A. Spehr 2008-10-26 23:03:23 UTC
Tested under koffice r876233, 2.0 beta2+

This works fine, it does however generate the error: KLauncher could not be reached via D-Bus. Error when calling start_service_by_desktop_path: empty

which is not a koffice issue. Dfaure: apparently this is an example of what is supposed to be fixed?
Comment 4 A. Spehr 2008-10-26 23:14:25 UTC
The message behaviour is a dup of bug 156339.
Comment 5 A. Spehr 2008-11-23 09:06:33 UTC
the klauncher thing is a different bug, so closing.
